The Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee has held a meeting to examine regulations on improving the Party's working style and maintaining close ties with the people. The meeting also analysed and investigated the economic work of next year. The meeting was presided over by CPC Central Committee General Secretary Xi Jinping.

The meeting called for the officials to make great efforts to improve the working style and effectively solve the problems that people are most concerned about.

According to the regulations, the CPC Central Committee Politburo should understand accurately the true situation, sum up the experiences, learn from the people and practice, research and solve problems.

The meeting also stressed that the guiding principle of the regulations is that orders must be followed closely. The management of the Party should follow strict standards.

The meeting also said regions throughout the nation and governmental departments at all levels should stick to the scientific outlook on development and step up the pace of transforming the economic development pattern.

Macro-control policies for the economy should be strengthened and improved.

The session concluded that by adhering to these principles, the task of economic and social development will be successfully completed.
