The General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, Xi Jinping has met with the President of UN General Assembly, Vuk Jeremic in Beijing.

In the meeting, Xi Jinping said the international community should work together to promote world peace and development. He hoped the UN would play a fair and just role, adhering to the principles of its charter. He said China will strengthen its cooperation with the world body.

Vuk Jeremic said China has played constructive role in supporting the interests of developing countries. He said he believes that China will make more contributions to peace and development in the world.
