Xi Jinping meets with UN General Assembly president in Beijing

The General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, Xi Jinping has met with the President of UN General Assembly, Vuk Jeremic in Beijing.

In the meeting, Xi Jinping said the international community should work together to promote world peace and development. He hoped the UN would play a fair and just role, adhering to the principles of its charter. He said China will strengthen its cooperation with the world body.
