At least 10 people have been killed in a landslide in southwest China's Yunnan Province that buried 16 households.

At least 10 people have been killed in a landslide in southwest China's Yunnan Province that buried 16 households. |
Local authorities say the landslide occurred on Friday morning in the village of Gaopo in Zhenxiong County, some 550 kilometers northeast of the provincial capital of Kunming. The injured people have been sent to a nearby hospital.

A rescue team has been organized by the local government. Rescue efforts and investigation into cause of the accident are under way.
