Carnival season has just started in Argentina. Although this street party may not be as well-known as the ones in neighboring Brazil and Uruguay, the nation's soccer spirit provides residents in the capital with equal fun and passion.

The streets of Buenos Aires have been lit up with the colors and sounds of the local musical troupes, called "murgas".
"The Lovers of The Boca" is one of the largest. It's supporting the hometown Boca Juniors, among the most popular soccer teams in Argentina and the world.
About two thousand people turned out to see the band in the carnival season's first outing of the year.
Guided by the sound of bass drums and cymbals, the paraders vye to show off their mixture of rhythm and athleticism.
There are more than 100 murgas in Buenos Aires. Despite different costume colours and soccers teams, they all share one thing this night, passion.
Visitor said, "We really feel content tonight to be able to transmit to everyone else what we feel."
Street barbecues are sizzling with bites warm and spicy, they accompany the parades through the early hours of the morning, tempting carnival-goers away from the performances.
Martin is out having a blast with his family.
Buenos Aires resident Martin Riquelme said, "It makes people happy. It's something that comes from us. It's part of us. It's only for this short time, but the performers have been preparing all year long for the carnival."
The murga season in Buenos Aires is just one of splash of carnival fun that take place across the country on every weekend in February.
