The NBA All-Star game was the usual star studded bash, LeBron James leading the Eastern Conference against Kobe Bryant and the West. Usain Bolt was among the stars watching the showdown in the stands.

The Western Conference held an 8-point edge early on, while LeBron James helped the East keep it close. The best player in the league showed off his strength on the power dunk.

The East led by two midway through the second quarter, but Kevin Durant stepped up for the West. His one-handed jam tied it at 50. Durant scored 30 points overall.

Although James had only 19 points for the East, Dwyane Wade remained solid with 21 , the best performance of the three Heat players in the starting line-up.

However, the West began pulling away in the final quarter when the defense went out the window . Chris Paul buries the triple and gives his side a double-digit lead.

But Paul George had the answer. He hits the three and cuts the margin to eight late on. It was down to business in the final stages, winning always matters to these guys whichever jersey they are wearing.

But it didnt happen for the East . The west's Blake Griffin provided inside dominance with 19 points on the night. They held off the East 143-138. Chris Paul scored 20 points and added 15 assists for the West and he took the game's MVP award.
