Pakistan's former president Pervez Musharraf has held his first news conference since returning home after four years of exile.

He talked about his party, the All Pakistan Muslim League, and his intention to run in the country's parliamentary elections scheduled for May 11th.

Musharraf said, "I cannot say definitely as to how many seats the APML will get in the forthcoming elections. But the party is putting a good number of candidates in all four provinces. I will be able to tell how many candidates the party is putting in in a day or two as we have to sign their papers as well. I will also know by then who are the candidates and can give my assessment in respect of how many seats the APML may win. But I am hoping to get a good number of seats in the elections."
