Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan have toured a coffee plantation in Santo Domingo de Heredia, during their visit to Costa Rica. They were warmly welcomed by the plantation's owner, and sat down for a cup of one of Costa Rica's biggest exports.
On Monday, President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan visited the Zamora family, whose experience in the coffee business stretches back more than 5 decades.

The family warmly welcomed the Chinese President and his wife, and invited them to tour their farmhouse.
President Xi and his wife also enjoyed a cup of coffee with the owners, while asking them about details of the coffee growing business.
During their talks, President Xi Jinping said it was his first visit to Costa Rica, adding that he was impressed by the people's intelligence and diligence.
He quoted a Chinese proverb that goes: harmony brings wealth, as he wished the three generations of the Zamora family happiness.
President Xi Jinping said before working in the central government, he had many years, working at the grass-root levels.
He stressed it is very important to frequently visit rural areas in order to understand the people's needs, adding that helping rural residents rise from poverty is an important task for the Chinese government.
Mr. Zamora said he hoped very much that his Chinese customers will get a chance to taste his coffee.
President Xi Jinping said more quality agricultural produce from Costa Rica will soon be exported to China in greater numbers, as the two countries signed several trade agreements during his trip.
Zamora said it was a great honor to host his Chinese guests at his home. His son also said the President's visit reflected the profound friendship between the people of China and Costa Rica, and that they would cherish the day in their memory.
Earlier in the day, China's first lady Peng Liyuan visited the National Children's Hospital of Costa Rica in San Jose, accompanied by the mother of Costa Rican President Laura Chinchilla.
The first lady watched a children's performance and sent panda toys and paper-cuts out to them. Peng Liyuan also wished them a speedy recovery and invited them to visit to China to see a real panda.
