Imagine composing your own award-winning music as a teenager, that's exactly how famed pianist Ludovico Einaudi began his career. The artist is now in the middle of a world tour, and soon to perform in Beijing.

Infusing the sounds of pop, electronic, folk and a little bit of rock'n'roll, Ludovico Einaudi is redefining the meaning of classical music.

Born to a prestigious family in Turin, Italy, the artist studied at the Conservatorio Verdi in Milan. Since then, he has scored for over a dozen films and TV shows, and produced even more studio albums. His latest album, "In a Time Lapse", was released earlier this year to international acclaim. Critics have described it as his most mesmerizing album to date.

Prior to his latest release, the artist scored the critically acclaimed French film "Untouchable", which has become the second biggest box office hit in France. Einaudi's other film scores include "Insidious" and the trailer for "Black Swan".

Einaudi is often applauded for his out-of-the-box thinking and ability to combine the old with the new. The artist also succeeds in transcending age groups, increasing his fan base all over the world.

Chinese fans will soon be able to experience Einaudi's music first hand. On June 6th, the artist takes to the Forbidden City Concert Hall in Beijing. His shows are known for the ability to engage the audience on an interactive journey, leaving concert-goers in a dreamlike state.
