Sixth seed Li Na's hopes of reaching the Wimbledon semi-finals for the first time have been dashed by fourth-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland. She was beaten 6-7, 6-4 and 2-6.

The 2011 French Open champion, Li Na, was ahead in the opening set, but wasted her chances and lost 5-7 in the tie-break. But after a short rain break, Li hit back from 4-2 down to take the second set, as her aggressive strokes to the corners of the court began to penetrate. But Radwanska, who had her right thigh heavily taped up before the start of the deciding set, finally beat Li 6-2.

Li Na made it to the quarterfinals twice in 2006 and 2010, but has been stopped in the second round in the last two years. Radwanska will next face Sabine Lisicki of Germany in the semi-finals.
