In east China's Shanghai Municipality, weather authorities have predicted a high temperature of nearly 39 degrees Celsius. The department advises residents there to stay indoors, as hospitals receive more patients due to the heat wave.

Still in east China, Anhui Province has also experienced high temperatures. In Bozhou city, temperatures hit this year's record of 38.6 degree Celsius Tuesday. Weather departments predict the hot weather will continue for the next few days.
