Chinese pair triumph in women's doubles final

China's Peng Shuai and partner Sheir Shu-way (Hsieh Su-Wei) won the women's doubles title. 8th seeds of the tournament, Peng and Shier were up against Ashley Barty and Casey Dellacqua of Australia who had lost in the final at this years Aussie Open.

Eighth seeds Su-Wei Hsieh and Peng Shuai defeated No.12 seeds Ashleigh Barty and Casey Dellacqua to win the Wimbledon ladies' doubles title 7-6(1) 6-1. [Xinhua] 



The final score 7-6, 6-1, took an hour and 36 minutes. Peng wins the first grand slam doubles title for China since 2006. Shier becomes the first ever player from Chinese Taipei to win a slam.
