Madrid coach Carlo Ancellotti confirmed his side are in talks to buy Bale.
"The line-up is very good. As I have said before, we have quality, experience, character, a lot of youth. It is very difficult to speak regarding Gareth Bale because he is not a Real Madrid player as of this moment. We are waiting to see what happens. I am not involved in this negotiation. I think that the club is speaking at this moment to find the solution. But there is no news at this moment, and that’s it." Carlo Ancellotti said.
Bale is still a Tottenham player for the moment and is still training with the London team but Real are reportedly willing to offer Spurs what would be a world-record fee of 130 million dollars for the 24-year-old.
Ancelotti also denied Luka Modric would be sold to help fund the transfer of Bale and that the midfielder would play at Real this season.
The Croatian only joined Real Madrid last summer from Spurs. Ancelotti also quashed suggestions that Borussia Dortmund forward Robert Lewandowski was a target. The Italian caoch says he’s happy with his strike force and that Cristiano Ronaldo "is the best striker in the world".
