With the Badminton World Championships in Guangzhou, the men's final featured a rematch between the four-time champions, China's Lin Dan, taking on his arch-rival, World Number One Lee Chong-Wei from Malaysia.
The first set was a back and forth affair, as you would expect between two players who know each other so well, but Lin was on top of his game and eventually prevailed 21-16.
But it was a different story in the second, as Lee went up early and never looked back, the Malaysian taking it 21-13. That means everything came down to a winner-take-all third set, and the atmosphere in the arena was simply intense.
In the end, Lin would win by a score of 20-17, when Lee was forced to retire with a leg injury, and that allowed the Chinese star to claim his fifth consecutive world championship.
