Both northeast and south China are being hit by their worst floods in decades. The historic rainfall and flooding has claimed at least 125 lives in the regions.

In the northeast, at least 85 people have been killed so far by the floods, with 3.7 million residents affected.

South China’s Guangdong and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region are also experiencing their heaviest rainfall in the past six decades. Rainstorms have caused at least 40 deaths, while over 4 million people in the region have been affected.
