Day Two of the 12th Chinese National Games saw 26 gold medals up for grabs. China's Olympic fencing champions Lei Sheng, Li Na and Sun Yujie were all frustrated.

Lei Sheng missed the opportunity to grab his first individual gold at the National Games by losing to Zhang Liangliang from Anhui 15 to14 in the final. Li Na and Sun Yujie didn't even enter the final eight. Li was drawn by Shen Weiwei of Shanghai four to four in regular time and suffered a last-minute hit in the overtime, while Sun was shocked by Shanxi fencer Hao Jialu 15 to10 in a one-sided match.

In the men's double trap, 45-year-old Zhang Yongjie from Shandong beat Zhang Yiyao in the final. The 2008 Olympics champion Chen Ying from Beijing won the 25 meter pistol, and Chang Jing from Henan won the women's 50 meter rifle three positions.
