More than one and a half thousand Chinese tourists have been stranded for two days in South Korea after their cruise ship was detained over a legal dispute between two Chinese companies. 238 of the passengers have now arrived at Beijing airport from Jeju island this afternoon.

More than 2,300 passengers and crew were on board when the Henna cruise ship was impounded over a legal dispute on Friday. Most of them are Chinese, but there were also four Australians, two Americans and three Koreans on board.

Hainan Airlines, the parent company of the ship's operator, has arranged 8 flights to bring the stranded tourists back to China. The airline says it sent four planes to Jeju island today. All the stranded tourists are expected to come home within 2 days.
