Recently, the Cake and Bake show took place that will surely satisfy your sweet tooth.

Intricate iced lace, glowing paper towers with tealights and frosted wedding cakes are just some of the designs being cooked up at the Cake and Bake show. And this year, wedding cakes of all shapes and sizes are taking centre stage at London's Cake and Bake show. Some other trends include detailed bordering, architecture, and avante-garde designs.

Rosalind Miller, Bespoke Cake Maker, said, "Obviously the paper cutting technique, that I have used here and illustrative cakes, metallics, are a big trend and the use of gold and silver leaf. Watercolour painting on cakes is another trend. Lustred effect and different height tiers."

At the event, eager bakers can also learn the tricks of the trade at classroom workshops, with 30 minute demonstrations covering a wide range of subjects from cake and breadmaking to eclairs and ganache.

In recent years, baking has become a social trend attracting amateurs of all ages to the event. Attendees not only want to learn about the latest baking trends, but also new and improved ways of entertaining guests. In the UK, cakes also become a fashionable thing to have at any social gathering. And speaking of fashionable, in honor of London Fashion Week, several cakes were also made in the design of couture apparel! The Cake and Bake show concluded this weekend and takes place once a year in Earl's Court, London.
