A feast for art lovers!

This art exhibition, part of the 10th China Arts Festival, has gathered over 600 pieces of fine art from all over China. The pieces fall into different categories including: oil painting, traditional Chinese painting, sculpture and more. They have been carefully selected from a pool of over 4 thousand pieces.

Yang Xiaoyang, Vice President, China Artists' Association, said, "For this event, I have brought a piece called 'The Circle of Life'. It's a traditional Chinese painting. It reflects people's lives in modern China, a theme that I have been focusing on in recent years. "

The China Arts festival is one of the key events on the Chinese art scene. Held every 3 years, it attracts a wide variety of artists and performers from around the country.

As the host of this year's event, Shandong Province is making quite a splash. 139 pieces by artists from the province have been short-listed at the art exhibition.

Pan Lusheng, President, Shangdong Univ. of Art & Design, said, "Shandong Province has the most pieces included in the exhibition. These artists fully showcase the artistic tradition of the province."

The 10th China Arts Festival kicked off on Friday in the provincial capital, Jinan. The festival will run for 16 days and concludes at the end of October. 40 venues across the city will open to host over 300 shows.
