The Snooker International Championship just concluded in Chengdu. In the final competition just hours earlier, Ding Junhui beat Marco Fu with a 10-9 in the home derby, which was also the third consecutive all-Asian ranking final.

This latest trophy was the ninth ranking title for Ding and makes him World Number-one, replacing Neil Robertson. Ding has also secured his third ranking title in a row, after winning the Shanghai Masters in September and the Indian Open in October.
Ding is the first man in this century to win three consecutive ranking events. The last player to achieve that was Scotland's Stephen Hendry in 1990.
