With 200 days to go until the next World Cup, Brazil have unveiled the kit that the hosts will be wearing for the international showpiece event.

In typically melodramatic style, the lights rose on VfL Wolfsburg midfielder Luiz Gustavo who was modelling the new kit. You may be thinking that it looks largely similar to the old one. But here is the sales-speak nonetheless: The yellow jersey is supposed to be "The lightest, most sustainable and most Brazilian kit in its history".

The main changes being the Y-shaped collar, a bigger crest and the removal of the name "Brasil".

The country's head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari, sporting a normal plane white T, told the audience at the unveiling that Brazil had no reason to fear their opponents, a sentiment echoed by Ronaldo.

"A team that are five-times world champions have something in their history. That history, at this moment, with all the players that we have playing both here and abroad, is full of very good quality. What our opponents should fear is all this good work we have been doing in Brazil," Scolari said.

"We don’t fear them (France). I believe that the recent history between the two teams is negative for Brazil. But it wasn’t before. Football is lived through moments. France is always a good team, a strong one. But with the way Brazil has been playing, I think that we should not fear any team," former Brazil striker Ronaldo said.
