British Prime Minister David Cameron has spoken to students at the Shanghai Jiaotong University on the second day of his visit to China. Cameron spoke with more than 400 students at the university on a wide range of topics including education exchange programs and the UK's VISA policy. Later, he is expected to hold meetings with electronics giants in Shanghai, to promote bilateral trade ties.

On Monday, Cameron showed his support for the famous British brand Jaguar Land Rover at its factory. He later spoke at the UK-Chinese business summit. He made clear his desire for a China-EU deal. Cameron's office said he was the first European leader to champion such a deal and had discussed the issue with other EU member states. Such a deal would address services liberalization and better intellectual property rights protection.
