In Syria, activists say at least 15 people have been killed in a new round of government air raids on rebel-held areas in the northern city of Aleppo.

Several amateur videos posted online by activists showed the aftermath of Tuesday's attacks on the rebel-held Sukkari neighborhood. Another activist group, the Aleppo Media Centre, says the strikes were carried out by jets and helicopters, and hit at least three sites, destroying apartment buildings and setting houses and cars ablaze.

The Aleppo Media Centre says at least 33 people have been killed and 150 injured. Activists say more than 360 people were killed in the first nine days of the military campaign, which began on December 15th.
