Familiar pottery & bronze gain popularity online

"Adorable" may be the last word you might think of using to describe a cultural relic. But at the Nanjing Museum in East China’s Jiangsu Province, it is the perfect adjective.

With a pair of round "eyes" and distinctly bunny-shaped lips, this six thousand-year-old piece of pottery looks exactly like the fat rabbit Usavich. And these ancient pieces form a big pig family, but they are actually kettles. There’s even a piece of bronze that looks like the leading character from "Angry Birds".

And that’s not all. Maybe South Korean pop star Psy took some inspiration here and invented his famous horse dance move after seeing these figures. With these very familiar ancient incarnations, the cultural relics are becoming popular in the virtual world. Their pictures are now causing quite a buzz on social networks.
