Shanghai annual Cherry Blossom Festival opens at Gucun Park this Thursday. But before the event begins, the venue is already attracting many visitors, who are admiring the blossoming flowers and enjoying the warm weather of early Spring.
From the end of this month, Gucun Park enters the best season for enjoying cherry blossoms, and this place has the most in Shanghai. It covers an area of over 660,000 square meters, and has more than 10,000 cherry blossom trees of 28 varieties.
This year's festival will run for 27 days, ending on April 15th. The park has made preparations to handle up to 200,000 visitors a day.
