Guangzhou Evergrande lost to another South Korean side, Jeonbuk Motors, 1-0, The defending champions, Guangzhou, kept at bay by the hosts throughout the contest, neither side conceding anything for most of the evening.

Guangzhou Evergrande lost to another South Korean side, Jeonbuk Motors 1-0. 

Jeonbuk's Hyuk Jang would be ejected on his second yellow card, after bringing down Evergrande's Alessandro Diamanti in the 67th minute but the ten-man home team scored nine minutes later, Brazilian Leonardo Pereira with the only goal of the game, so they're now tied with Guangzhou at the top the group, both teams with seven points.
