President Xi Jinping has welcomed Denmark's Queen Margrethe at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

The Queen is paying a state visit to China at the invitation of President Xi. She is accompanied by a senior delegation, including ministers in charge of foreign affairs, education and science and research.

The two sides vowed to enhance cooperation in the areas of trade, investment, agriculture, medicine, food safety and green energy. They also witnessed the signing of a series of bilateral agreements.
