Rammasun smashes Hainan Province, causes large economic loss

Typhoon Rammasun has weakened to a tropical depression, but its impact on the south parts of China has not been over. China's floor prevention office continues to urge all related governments to pay attention to preventing flood and typhoon.

The landing of the Rammasun on Friday smashed most parts of Hainan Province. In the capital city of Haikou, Rammasun damaged houses and tree, as well as submerged road. It also caused water and electricity outages.

Rescue and restoration work started on Saturday after the typhoon left the island. By Sunday evening, electricity is fully restored in main districts of Haikou and will be restored within three days. Relief material had also been delivered to the residents who evacuated in safe place.
