Russian President Vladimir Putin is now in Crimea for a two-day inspection. This is his second vist after the region joined Russia. On Wednesday, he held a meeting of the Russian Security Council in Crimea.
According to Putin's press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, they discussed external security of the Peninsula, and the functioning of law enforcement agencies within the Republic of Crimea and in the city of Sevastopol in particular. The discussion also included issues related to fighting corruption.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry says Putin's move is unacceptable and it may approve a bill of sanctions against Russia.
