Bow down to the reigning queen of the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards!
The diva closed the awards show with an epic nearly 20-minute performance. With eight nominations, she won in categories like Best Collaboration for the hit "Drunk In Love" with Jay-Z, Best Video and the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award, the VMA's version of a lifetime achievement award.
Tears streamed down her face as she was joined onstage by her beaming husband and daughter.
"I have nothing to say but I am filled with so much gratitude. I love you all," said Beyonce.
Beyonce lost video of the year to Miley Cyrus, who let a homeless man accept her award.
Thank y'all, my name is Jesse and I am accepting this award on behalf of the 1.6 million runaways and homeless youth in the United States who are starving, lost and scared for their lives right now.
Taylor Swift was a crowd favorite when she performed her new single "Shake It Off" in shimmery, fringed shorts and a crop top.
The night also featured a serious social message: Rapper-actor Common held a moment of silence for Michael Brown, the unarmed 18-year-old who was fatally shot by a police officer on August 9, before he presented the award for best hip-hop video.
Lorde won best rock video for "Royals" and Ed Sheeran won best male video, beating out Pharrell, Eminem, John Legend and Sam Smith, who was a show highlight with his smoldering performance of his hit "Stay With Me."
Iggy Azalea and Ariana Grande appeared onstage as spider women when they performed their hit "Black Widow". The duo took home Best Pop Video for their hit single "Problem".
Other top prize winners include Katy Perry's "Dark Horse" for Best Female Video.
