In Hong Kong, traffic has resumed as police removed the last barricades in Causeway Bay.
Two tram lines which were once blocked have been reopened in the area. Due to over more than two months of disuse, many tram lines have become rusty, and suffered damage due to the insulated rubber tape stuck on by protesters.
The repair and maintenance work was impossible until the streets were reopened on Monday. The Head of the Drivers' Union says that the suspension of bus services has caused a loss of around two thousand 500 to three thousand Hong Kong dollars to each driver.
Hong Kong altogether has six tram lines, 5 of them pass through Causeway Bay.
