The Indonesian authorities said more than two-hundred international forensic experts are working to identify the bodies based on DNA samples that came from relatives of those on board. So far, 146 samples were collected and sent to experts. 16 of them were reportedly to have been identified.
"13 bodies of the victims have been handed back to their families, including six women and seven men," says Awi Setiyono, PR chief of East Java Police.
