Chinese children's book

Many Chinese children's books have been translated into English, French and Italian. The "China Story" and "Childhood " Chinese picture book series proved very popular among overseas buyers.

"We are able to stick to the original, and continue the work in the original way," said Xu Jiang from Xinjiang Youth Publishing House.

"This selected topic is not over yet, we spent five year to make seven books, the rest of the selected topic is under development, we will publish more and more in 2015. Maybe we will be launched in 2015."

Industry experts say one of the greatest benefits of Chinese children's books are that they introduce stories from Chinese culture. These books are rich in history and educate young children about the traditions and customs that are important to the Chinese.

Each book features a unique story that shares a strong moral rooted in Chinese culture.

"We have brought together four generations of writers to build a team," said Li Xueqian from China Children's Press & Publication Group.

"The oldest is 85 years old, and the youngest is only 13 years. We believe this kind of writers' team is very important to us."

At the three-day Beijing Book fair, orders for Chinese children's books reached more than 100 million, up nearly 20 percent from the previous year.
