A good ol' reunion has taken place between Chinese actress Tang Wei and singer-actor Leehom Wang, the first time since 'Lust, Caution' for Michael Mann's hacker thriller 'Blackhat'. The pair talked about their second collaboration.

The pair of Asian stars were lovers in Ang Lee's 2007 film, but now play brother and sister who join a hacker, played by Chris Hemsworth, to catch a cybercriminal.

"I mean, working on 'Lust, Caution' was a formative experience for us. And we became great friends," Wang said. "That was her first film. We've stayed in touch since then and now we're playing brother and sister, which is like a natural progression for our relationship anyway. It wasn't a big stretch for us."

"So when we knew we were both in this movie, we were so happy," Tang said. "Because we have worked together before. And in that moment -- in the first movie, he's my first love. But in this movie, finally, he becomes brother."

The film is about a furloughed convict played by Hemsworth and his American and Chinese partners played by Lee and Tang, who hunt a high-level cybercrime network from Chicago and Los Angeles to Hong Kong and Jakarta. The 35-year-old actress said she hopes the film can help bring US and Chinese cultures together.

"Blackhat" is in US theatres on Friday.
