Police officer rocks out to Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift has found herself a surprising new fan. A Delaware police officer's spirited lip synch of Taylor Swift's "Shake it Off", he first single from her latest album "1989", has gone viral after it was posted on the Internet.

The video has gained thousands of "likes" on Facebook and YouTube and even praise from the artist herself.

A dashboard camera video shows Dover police officer Jeff Davis bopping his head and singing along to the popular song as he drives through town.

A Delaware police officer's spirited lip synch of Taylor Swift's first single "Shake it Off" from her latest album "1989", has gone viral since it was posted on the Internet. 

Davis can be seen grooving to lyrics such as "I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake" and "I'm dancing on my own. I make the moves up as I go."

His rendition, complete with lip curl and hand gestures, was reposted on Twitter by Swift, who praised the officer's "sass."
