On Saturday, Li Keqiang also visited Peru's archaeological museum in Lima - the country's largest and oldest museum - alongside his Peruvian counterpart Pedro Cateriano. Li opened an exhibition on the origins of Chinese civilization.

After a guided tour around the museum, he highlighted the impact both countries have had through the centuries, and spoke of the future benefits of their relationship.
"The agricultural civilizations of Peru and China contributed to the development of human kind. Surely the development between us will reap even greater benefits for the coming civilizations. Regardless of the size of the museum, we see here the very deep cultural roots of both countries, just like this Pisco Sour that I have in my hand and with which I toast to continuing strengthening cultural exchange between us," Li said.
