Amy Poehler got a little emotional on the purple carpet at the L.A. premiere of 'Inside Out,' Monday night. And that was rather appropriate, given that the movie portrays a pre-pubescent girl's five emotions as characters: Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness.

The Emmy-nominated Poehler provided the voice for the perfectly perky Joy, who works with her fellow emotions inside young Riley's head. But Poehler said at the LA premier of the film that she was feeling a little sad, noting it would be one of the last times the film's cast and crew would be together.

"There's a part of me that realizes, 'Oh, after this interview and after we go in there and after the movie goes out to the world, when I am going to see these guys again?'" Poehler explained, then segued into a joke: "So, I'm going to just stalk them and make sure they never leave me."

Poehler's fellow "Saturday Night Live" alumnus, Bill Hader, who portrays Fear, said he and the other cast members got all choked up after the first time they saw the finished Disney Pixar movie.

Actress Phyllis Smith, best known for her supporting role on the American version of the sitcom "The Office," recalled a conversation she had with "Inside Out" executive producer John Lasseter.

The dock in question was the setting for a photocall at the Cannes Film Festival where "Inside Out" was unveiled in May. The film's Cannes premiere last month was equally significant for "Inside Out" screenwriter and director Pete Docter, who had been warned the festival audience can be very critical.

And while children are certain to be entertained, Docter believes the film will resonate with adults as well. It highlights things that everyone is familiar with: emotions and memories. "Inside Out" opens in US theaters on June 19th.
