Xi Jinping said China and Myanmar have common interests and a common destiny sharing weal and woe. He proposed that the two countries continue to work together, and honor the bilateral friendship and cooperation.

Xi Jinping added that China always views the two countries' relationship from a strategic and long-term perspective and believe Myanmar will do the same, regardless of domestic changes.

Xi Jinping said the relationship between the CPC and Myanmar's National League for Democracy has developed fast and he hoped Aung San Suu Kyi will come to understand the country and the party even better, and boost cooperation between the countries and their people.

Aung San Suu Kyi said her party highly values friendship between the two countries and admires China's great development achievements under the CPC leadership. She hoped the visit can deepen the party-to-party ties. Aung San Suu Kyi arrived on Wednesday, and will stay until Sunday.
