In 2013, when Xi and President Obama met at the Annenberg estate, Xi said: "The Chinese Dream is a means of achieving national prosperity, rejuvenation and happiness for the Chinese people. It is a dream of peace, development, cooperation and mutual gain. It also relates to the American dream and the aspirations of people all over the world."
