Chinese president Xi Jinping on Sunday presented a gift to the United Nation to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the organization's founding.
The gift, a Zun of peace, is modelled on the Zun, a traditional bronze in ancient China representing reverence. Xi said the gift represents China's high regard and support for the United Nations and best wishes from the country's 1.3 billion people.
China previously sent some highly treasured gifts to the United Nations, including a handmade tapestry with the pattern of the Great Wall and Treasure Tripod dedicated to the 21st century.
