Aviation companies from around the world put on a show of aerobatics and exhibited their latest technology at the the China International General Aviation Convention airshow at Pucheng Neifu Airport in Xi'an Friday.

There were about 80 light aircraft in the static exhibition area and 40 performing some impressive aerobatics.

More than 600 companies are involved in the convention, hoping to enhance cooperation between China and the rest of the world.

At a press conference following the aerobatics, General Aviation International (Xi'an) Aircraft Technology announced plans for its brand new LE700 aircraft. The LE700 is a single-engine propeller training plane with four seats that will enter the market in 2017.

"The LE-700 is China's self-developed plane, it is mainly designed for pilot training, and the plane is more advanced than LE-500," said Zhang Yan, Deputy Secretary of Yanliang, Xi'an.
