During their meeting Tuesday, Xi spoke highly of the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership, and the fruitful achievements in bilateral cooperation.
Xi said China and Russia are both at a critical stage of economic reform and restructuring. They should join hands in exploring the China-initiated Silk Road Economic Belt, as well as the Russian-initiated Eurasian Economic Union.
Medvedev agreed with Xi, saying Russia is ready to deepen cooperation with China, in areas such as infrastructure, energy, finance, investment and information networks.
Russia is also willing to deepen bilateral collaboration within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the Asia Infrastructure Investment Bank.
