At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, major handset makers are releasing their new modules and displaying all the latest industry trends.

The biggest move is being made by South Korean giant Samsung, which has launched two new versions of its Galaxy S smartphone as it tries to buck the drag in industry growth. And that is not its only big move: it was announced Samsung will be collaborating with Facebook to drive forward the concept of virtual reality.

The social networking giant's CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, made a surprise appearance to talk about its potential.

China's Xiaomi, ZTE, Huawei and Lenovo are also attending the exhibition.
