Foreign talent will find Chinese capital Beijing a good destination to work and live from now on. March 1st marks the day Beijing enacts new policies to attract top level foreign talent to the city.

Authorities will speed up the approval process for foreign talents to apply for a Chinese green card. The new policy applies to foreign talents who want to start businesses in China's Silicon Valley, Zhongguancun Area, or foreign tech experts working for companies registered in the area. Also, eligible overseas Chinese can also enjoy greater access to apply for a green card.

Beijing's policies come after Shanghai's incentive measures launched last year to attract talented foreigners proved successful. China's central government has also unveiled new policies to provide better services to foreigners in China.
