Tourists visited the resort's shopping, dining, and entertainment district, which is open to the public free of charge. Disney staff welcomed visitors on arrival, taking photos for them and guiding them through the various shops and restaurants, even though most of them are closed.
Visitors could also check out the Wishing Star Park and Lake near the metro station's exit. The lake covers about 40 hectares, about the size of 56 football fields.
When this Disneyland opens on June 16, it will feature a diverse mix of restaurants and retailers, including well-known brands and the first World-of-Disney store in Asia. In all, there will be nearly 50 outlets.
Disneytown will also feature the world's first-ever Mandarin-language production of "The Lion King" musical at the 1,200-seat Walt Disney Grand Theater.
