Chinese President Xi Jinping has met in Beijing with a visiting delegation of the Workers' Party of Korea from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Chinese President Xi Jinping has met in Beijing with a visiting delegation of the Workers' Party of Korea from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Xi welcomed the delegation's visit to brief on the seventh WPK congress, which was held in early May. The DPRK delegation delivered messages from its leader Kim Jong Un, who says his country is willing to consolidate and develop China-DPRK relations and support regional peace and stability.

Xi also said that China sets great store on developing friendly relations with Pyongyang. He hopes relative parties will restrain and strengthen dialogues on the Korean Peninsula.
