"To tell the truth I don't know - I don't know why people love me, the reason they love the film or my work. I am happy because the film seal being the life through people watching the movies, that's it. That's all I can say, but I don't know why exactly people love the movie," Reno said.

During the evening, Jean Reno was awarded the President of the Karlovy Vary Film Festival prize by Jiri Bartoska.

"Thanks goes to you because you are watching the movies and you have been keeping to movie being alive because without you there is no movies, no actors, nothing. Thank you again," Reno said.

After receiving the award, Reno introduced director Luc Besson's cult film, "Léon: The Professional". He starred alongside a young Natalie Portman, who plays a 12 year old girl named Mathilda who is left an orphan after her family is murdered. This was the debut role that launched her acting career.

"My ego is in the final result of the movie. If the audience likes the movie, my ego is happy. My ego is not because I am on the movie or because I am a movie star or whatever," Reno said.

After the Karlovy Vary festival, Reno will head off to the Czech Republic to film the Hong Kong action flick: The Adventurers.

"I am gonna do a Chinese movie shot in Prague," Rano said. "That's all I can say today. It is a big production for Chinese with big Chinese stars. (Is it the Adventures movie?) Yes, it is an action movie," Reno said.

The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival was founded in 1946 as the second film festival in Europe. Now it is the largest film festival in the Czech Republic and the most prestigious such festival in Central and Eastern Europe.

This year the festival presents some 200 films from around the world, 12 of which are included in the main competition.
