China's Snow Eagle 601 lands on South Pole's highest point

China's first polar fixed-wing aircraft Snow Eagle 601 successfully landed at the airport on Dome A of Kunlun Station, a Chinese scientific research base in Antarctica and also the highest point of the Antarctic ice sheet, on Sunday. It is the first aircraft of its kind to land at an elevation of more than 4,000 meters in Antarctica.
