China is ready to enhance coordination and cooperation with the United States on Asia-Pacific affairs, said a Chinese foreign ministry spokesman on Thursday.

China is willing to see the United States' constructive role in regional peace, stability and development and beef up their coordination and cooperation on Asia-Pacific affairs, said Ma Zhaoxu at a regular press conference.

Ma said Asia Pacific regional cooperation is the inevitable outcome of the economic globalization and regional integration, adding that in the foreseeable future the regional cooperation will still be of multi-mechanism and multi-level.
