China and Poland on Friday marked the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties in Beijing.
Addressing a reception, Chen Haosu, president of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, said China and Poland enjoyed profound traditional friendship and cooperation was boosted in economy, trade,science, culture and education in recent years.
Polish ambassador to China Tadeusz Chomicki reviewed the bilateral relations in the past 60 years and hoped that cooperation between the two countries in various fields could go smoothly.
Almost a hundred guests from both countries, including Li Zhaozhuo, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, attended the reception to mark the anniversary.
Poland established diplomatic ties with the People's Republic of China (PRC) on Oct. 7, 1949.
