Two soldiers with the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) were killed in an IED (improvised Explosive Device) strike in Afghanistan's southern region on Sunday, a press release of ISAF on Monday said.
"Two ISAF service members died following an IED strike in southern Afghanistan yesterday," the press release said.
However, it did not give any details of the victims' nationality, saying "It is ISAF policy to refer identification procedure for casualties to the relevant national authorities."
Earlier on Sunday ISAF in a press release confirmed the death of two more soldiers in the relatively peaceful northern provinces.
More than 50 NATO soldiers with majority of whom Americans have been killed since beginning of this year in the conflict-ridden Afghanistan.
